Mount Ridley College is a comprehensive secondary school located in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. In order to keep parents and students updated on the latest news, events, and happenings at the school, Mount Ridley has implemented a Parent Portal. This portal allows registered parents to login and view their children's grades, attendance records, and other important information. In this article, we will show you how to login to the Parent Portal.
Logging In
To login to the parent portal, please follow these steps:
1. Click on the "Login" button located in the top right corner of the home page.
2. Type in your user name and password and click on the "Log In" button.
3. You will be taken to the main Parent Portal page. If you have not registered with Mount Ridley College yet, you will need to do so first by clicking on the "Register" button.
Adding a New Parent
Adding a New Parent to the Portal is Easy! First, you will need to create an account. Once you have an account, login and follow these simple steps:
1. Go to the “Parents” tab on the main portal page.
2. Choose “Add a new parent” from the menu on the left.
3. Enter your login credentials and click “Next.”
4. You will be asked to choose a role for this parent: Student, Staff, or Parental Advisor. Select Parental Advisor and click “Next.”
5. You will be asked to provide some basic information about yourself: name, email address, and phone number. Click “Next” to continue.
6. You will be asked to provide some additional information about your child: their name, grade level, school district, and contact information (like home phone number or website). Click “Next” to continue.
7. You will be asked to provide some basic information about your family: name of primary caregiver and any other caregivers in the household (if applicable). Click “Next” to continue.

Accessing Student Records
If you are a parent of a student at Mount Ridley College, you can access your child's academic records through the Parent Portal. To login, follow these steps:
1. Go to www.mrc.net and sign in.
2. Click on the Parent Portal link in the main menu on the left side of the screen.
3. In the Parent Portal home page, click on My Students to view your student's records. You can also view grades, attendance information, and much more!
Enrolling Your Child in School
If you have not already done so, please login to the Parent Portal to begin the enrollment process. Once you have registered your child in school and authorized the College’s access to his or her student information, follow these steps to enroll your child:
Step 1: Log In to Parent Portal. If you have not already done so, please login to the Parent Portal online at www.mountridley.edu/parentportal. If you are a current parent or guardian of a Mount Ridley College student and have an active user ID and password, you can login directly into the Parent Portal. If you do not have an active user ID and password, or if your child is currently enrolled in another school, please visit www.mountridley.edu/enroll-child and follow the instructions on that page.
Step 2: Enter your Student ID Number (SID). This number is located on the back of your student’s identification card or on their Mount Ridley College transcript. You will also need this number if you wish to make any changes to your student’s school records after they have enrolled in Mount Ridley College.
Communicating with Mount Ridley College Staff
Login to your Parent Portal account to:
- View your student’s grades and progress reports
- Pay school fees and/or apply for financial aid
- Request transcripts or other school records
- Get information about campus resources and events
- Connect with Mount Ridley College staff
