The Mississippi State Parent Portal is a online system that allows parents to view their student's grades, conduct online classes and manage assignments. In order to use the Parent Portal, you must first login. To do this, follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Go to the Mississippi State Parent Portal homepage and click on "Login".
Step 2: Enter your username and password in the respective fields and click on "Log In".
Step 3: You will be prompted to select a domain name from which you would like to access the Parent Portal (i.e. parentportal.msstate.edu).
Step 4: Click on "OK" to continue.
Logging In to the Parent Portal
To log in to the Mississippi State Parent Portal, follow these simple steps:
1. Log in to your MyMSU account. If you don't have an account, create one now.
2. Navigate to the Parent Portal home page (http://parentportal.msstate.edu).
3. Click on the "Login" button in the top right corner of the page.
4. Enter your MyMSU login credentials and click on the "Log In" button.
5. You will be directed to a new page where you will be asked to select a role for your account - either "Parent" or "Other." Choose "Parent" and you will be logged in to the Parent Portal!
Changing Your Password
If you have forgotten your password, or if you would like to change it, please follow these instructions:
1. Click the “Login” link on the main homepage of the Mississippi State Parent Portal.
2. Enter your username and password in the fields provided and click “Login.”
3. If you have not registered with the Parent Portal, you will be prompted to do so now before proceeding to step 4.
4. If you have registered with the Parent Portal, click on the “My Account” link in the upper right-hand corner of the login screen.
5. Scroll down to the “Password” section and click on “Change Password.”
6. Enter your current password in the “New Password” field and type a new password in the “New Password (again)” field. Click on “Update Password.”
Adding or Editing Children on Your Account
To add a child to your account or edit an existing child, follow these steps:
1. Log in to the Mississippi State Parent Portal.
2. Click on the My Account button on the home page.
3. Navigate to the Children tab and click on Add Child or Edit Child.
4. Fill out the required information and click Save.
Deactivating Your Account
If you no longer need access to your Mississippi State Parent Portal account, you can deactivate it through the Account Settings page. To deactivate your account:
1. Log in to your account on the Parent Portal.
2. Click on the Account Settings link in the top left corner of the screen.
3. On the Account Settings page, under “My Profile,” click on Deactivate My Account.
4. Follow the instructions on the next page to deactivate your account.
Contacting MSU About Your Parent Portal Account
If you are having difficulty logging into your Parent Portal account or need to contact MSU about your account, please follow these steps:
1. Go to parentportal.msu.edu and enter your username and password. If you have forgotten your username or password, click the "Forgot Your Password?" link on the login page.
2. Click the "Account" tab at the top of the page.
3. Click the "Contact Us" button in the right-hand column of the "Account" tab.
4. Enter your email address in the "Subject" field and type "Parent Portal Support" in the body of the email.
5. Click the "Send Email" button.
6. Wait for a response from MSU about your issue.
