How to login to the Los Angeles County GIS Data Portal
The Los Angeles County GIS Data Portal provides access to data and mapping resources for the citizens of Los Angeles County. To access the portal, users must first login. The login process is simple and can be done by following these steps:
1. Go to the Los Angeles County GIS Data Portal home page at www.lacounty.gov/gis
2. Click on the "Login" link in the upper left corner of the page
3. Enter your user name and password
4. Click on the "Log In" button
5. You will now be taken to the main data portal page

Using the Portal
If you have not already created an account on the Los Angeles County GIS Data Portal, now is a good time to do so. The Portal is a web-based mapping tool that provides access to spatial data for the County of Los Angeles. Once you have registered and logged in, the following steps will show you how to use some of the more common features of the Portal.
First, select the topic of your interest from the menu on the left side of the screen.

To begin, click on "Login" in the top right corner of the screen. Enter your user name and password in the fields that appear, and then click on "Log In." If everything goes according to plan, you will be brought to a page that looks something like this:

Click on "Downloads" in the menu at the top of this page. This will take you to a page where
