If you're looking to access your Cit Library materials from any device, computer, or even a mobile device, you'll need to login first. To do this, follow these simple steps:
How to login to the Cit Library Portal
If you're new to the Cit Library Portal, or if you've been away and want to log in, here's how to do it:
1. Click on the Cit Library Portal logo (near the top right corner of your screen) and select "Login" from the drop-down menu.
2. Enter your username (it will be different than your password) and click on "Log In." You'll be brought to a page where you can verify that you are logged in.
3. If everything looks correct, click on the "Home" link at the top of the page to return to the Cit Library Portal home page.
How to find your library card number
If you don't have a library card, you can still use the Citlibrary Portal. First, you'll need to find your library card number. To do this, login to the Citlibrary Portal and go to My Account. On the My Account page, under "My Library Card Number," you will see a text box that says "Enter Your Library Card Number." Enter your library card number in this text box and click on the "Submit" button.
How to use your library card
If you have a library card, it’s time to get started using the Cit Library Portal. Whether you are a new or returning user, this guide will help you get started.
To use the Cit Library Portal, first sign in using your library card number and password. You may also choose to sign in using your Facebook account if you have registered with the Cit Library Portal. If you do not have a library card, please see the instructions below for how to create one.
Once you have logged in, you will be asked to select your library: Oak Park Public Library or Chicago Public Library. If you are not sure which library you are using, please see their map of Chicagoland libraries. Once you have selected your library, continue to the next step.
If you are new to the Cit Library Portal, we recommend that you start by browsing through their collection of resources. The resources include books, eBooks, audiobooks and more. You can also use the search bar at the top of the page to find what you are looking for quickly.

How to renew your library card
The Cit Library Portal allows library card holders to renew their cards online. The process is easy and takes only a few minutes.
To renew your library card, first visit the Cit Library Portal. If you have not already registered for an account, you will need to do so before proceeding.
Once registered, click on the “My Account” tab at the top of the page.
On the My Account page, click on the “Login” link in the upper-left corner of the screen.
Enter your library card number and PIN in the appropriate fields and click on the “Login” button.
You will be asked to confirm your login information. Click on the “Confirm Login” button to proceed.
You will now be directed to a page that displays your account status and library privileges. Review your information and click on the “Update Profile” button to proceed to the renewal process.
On the Renew My Library Card page, select whether you want to renew your current card or create a new one. If you have not yet added any books to your account, you will need to add them
How to update your contact information
The Cit Library Portal allows you to update your contact information, including your name, email address, and phone number. To update your information:
1. Log in to the Cit Library Portal.
2.Click on the My Account link in the top left corner of the screen.
3.Click on the Edit Profile link in the left column of the My Account page.
4.Click on the Update Contact Info link in the middle column of the My Account page.
5.Complete the form on the page that pops up and click on the Save button to save your changes.
How to report a lost or stolen library card
If you have lost your library card, or if it has been stolen, you can report thelost or stolen card to the Citlibrary.com website. To report a lost or stolen librarycard, follow these steps:
Log into Citlibrary.com and click on the "My Account" link in the top left corner of the screen. On the My Account page, scroll down to see the "Report a Lost or Stolen Library Card"link. Click on this link to begin the reporting process.follow the prompts onscreen to provide as much information about your librarycard as possible. In addition to providing your library card number and expiration date, you may want to include any otherinformation that may help identify your card, such as when and where you lastused it, or any notes about the card that may be helpful to librarians.
Onceyou have submitted your report, Citlibrary will attempt to locate your librarycardand contact you if they are able to do so.
How to use the Cit E-Text system
If you are a current or former student at Citrus College, or have an ID card from Citrus College, you can login to the Cit E-Text system and check your e-texts and citations.
To login to the Cit E-Text system:
1. Go to cit.edu and sign in with your username and password.
2. Click on "E-Texts" in the left navigation bar.
3. Click on "Login."
4. Enter your name in the "Name" field and your ID number (from your ID card) in the "ID" field, and click "Login."
5. You will be redirected to a page where you can select which e-texts you want to view.
6. You can also access citations for your e-texts by clicking on the "Citations" tab on the right side of the screen.
Other resources available through the Cit Library Portal
The Cit Library Portal provides access to a variety of resources available through the library system, including downloadable e-books and audiobooks, databases, and journals. To login to the portal, follow these steps:
1. Visit citlibrary.org.
2. In the top right corner of the home page, click on the “Login” link.
3. Enter your user name and password. If you have not created an account yet, you will be prompted to do so.
4. Click on the “Log In” button to activate your account and begin browsing the resources available through the Cit Library Portal!
