What is Websphere Portal Log Analyzer?
Websphere Portal Log Analyzer is a free tool that helps administrators diagnose and troubleshoot issues with the Websphere Portal web application.
To get started, open Websphere Portal and create a new session. Next, Navigate to Administration > Logs > Log Analyzer.
The Log Analyzer window will display all of the active sessions in your system. To login to a specific session, click on the session name in the list and then enter the user name and password for that session.
Once you have logged into the session, you can start analyzing the logs by clicking on the Logs tab and selecting a log file from the list. The Log Analyzer window will display detailed information about that particular log file.
For example, if you select the ERRORLOG file, you will see all of the errors that occurred during this particular session. You can also filter the logs by date or category to get a more specific view of the data.

By default, the Log Analyzer displays logs for all users and applications on your WebSphere Portal server. You can restrict the display by specifying a user name or application name. The Log Analyzer also allows you to filter log entries by severity level. The severity level can be one of four levels: warning, error, info, and debug.
