How to login to the University of Cape Town Student Portal
If you are a new student at the University of Cape Town, you will need to create an account and login. You can do this by following these steps:

3. On the Student Portal page, click on “Login” in the top right corner.

How to create an account on the Student Portal

1. Go to https://portal.uct.ac.za/ and click on the “Sign In” button. If you have already registered for the Student Portal, you will be prompted to enter your username and password.
2. On the “Login” page, enter your full name (first and last) and email address in the appropriate fields and click on the “Sign In” button. You will now be taken to the “My Profile” page where you can view your account information and settings.

How to manage your student records on the Student Portal
Login to your Student Portal account and click on the My Account link in the top navigation bar. The My Account page will display your Username, Password and Email address. To login to your account, enter your Username and Password into the login boxes on the My Account page. To manage your student records, click on the My Recordings tab in the left-hand navigation bar of the My Account page. On this tab, you can: - View all of the recordings that have been made of you during your time at UCT - Manage your recordings - Add new recordings or edit existing recordings - Delete a recording - Print out a copy of a recording - Block a recording from being viewed by others You can also access these same features through the Students tab on the main UCT website (www.uct.ac.za).
