How to find your insurance provider
If you are new to Tricare East, or if you have not accessed your account in a while, here is how to login:
1. Go to the Tricare East Provider Portal at https://portal.tricare.mil/ (replace “east” with the region where you live):
2. On the left side of the screen, under “My Profile,” click on “Login.”
3. Enter your user name and password, and then click on “Log In.”
4. If you have not already done so, select your health plan from the menu on the left side of the screen.
5. On the right side of the screen, under “My Benefits,” click on “Insurance Providers.”
6. On the next page, click on the blue button next to your health plan name to open its provider portal page (if it is not already open).
7. On each provider portal page, check to see if your insurer is listed as an approved insurance provider for that plan type and region (it should be). If it is not listed
How to find your claims information
If you have a Tricare East account, use the "Tricare East Provider Portal" to find your claims information. The Provider Portal is located at: https://portal.tricare.mil/login/. If you don't have a Tricare East account, create one before you try to log in to the Provider Portal.
To log in to the Provider Portal, first create an account if you don't have one. When you're logged in, click on the "My Account" link on the top left of the screen. Then click on the "Provider Portal" link on the right side of the My Account page.
The Provider Portal contains three sections: Claims, Billing, and Services. To find your claims information, in the Claims section, type your Tricare East member number (or your Medicare beneficiary number if you have Medicare) into the search bar at the top of the page. The results will show all of your claims that are related to Tricare East coverage. You can also search by date or by provider name.
