Missoula, MT has a new student portal designed to make registering for classes, accessing grades and other important school information easier. In this article, we'll show you how to login and use the new portal.
How to login to the Student Portal Missoula
If you are a current student at the University of Montana, you can login to the Student Portal Missoula. To do this, follow these simple steps:
1. Log in to your UM login account (if you don't have one, create an account now).
2. Once logged in, click on "Student Portal Missoula" in the main menu.
3. Enter your UM ID number and password into the appropriate fields, and click on "Log In."
4. You will be taken to the main Student Portal Missoula page.
5. Click on "My Academics" in the left column and then on "My Student Account."
6. On the My Student Account page, click on "Access Your Transcripts" in the right column.
7. You will be taken to a page where you can access your transcripts for the current semester or year.
How to update your student information
Login to your portal and select "My Account" on the left nav. In the "My Account" section, click on "Student Info." To update your information, enter your full name and email address in the appropriate fields and click "Update."
How to add or change classes
Adding a new class is easy! Follow these simple steps:
- Click on the "My Account" tab at the top of the page
- Click on "Add Class"
- Enter the details for your new class, such as the course ID, course title and date/time for the first class meeting. You can also add a syllabus if you'd like!
- Click on "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page. You'll now see your new class listed under "My Classes".
How to view your academic progress
If you are a registered student at the University of Montana, you can view your academic progress on the MyUofM Portal. The MyUofM Portal is available to all students, regardless of their course load or degree program. To access the MyUofM Portal, log in using your UM email and password. You can also sign in using your UM login ID and password. If you have forgotten your UM email or password, please contact the IT help desk at (406) 994-4000.
How to make changes to your advising settings
If you are an advising student and would like to make changes to your advising settings, please follow the instructions below.
To make changes to your advising settings:
1. Log-in to My Missoula.
2. Click on the Student Portal link in the left-hand column of the page.
3. On the Student Portal page, click on Advising Settings in the left-hand column.
4. In the Advising Settings box, click on Change Settings.
5. In the Change Settings box, under My Advising Profile, click on Edit Profile.
6. In the Edit Profile box, under My Advising Preferences, click on Login Details and Personal Info (if you have them set up).
7. Under Login Details and Personal Info (if you have them set up), enter your current advisor username and password (these will be different than your My Missoula login information).
8. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the Edit Profile box.

How to report a problem
If you experience a problem logging into the Student Portal, please follow these instructions to report the issue.
Step 1: Navigate to the Student Portal and click on “Login” in the top left corner.
Step 2: In the “Login” form, enter your NetID and Password. If you have not yet created a NetID, you will be prompted to do so. Once logged in, your NetID will appear as a link in the top right corner of the screen.
Step 3: Click on your NetID link to open the “My Profile” page. On this page, under “Reporting Problems”, you will find instructions on how to report an issue.
