How to login to Smwc Student Portal
If you are a student at Southern Maine Community College, your login information is available through the Smwc Student Portal. To access the portal, go to smwc.edu and enter “Student Portal” into the search bar. Once you have found the portal, click on “Login” in the top right corner. This will take you to the login screen. You will need to enter your username and password in order to log in. If you have forgotten your username or password, please contact the Smwc Help Desk at 800-237-1494.
How to change your password
If you forget your login credentials, you can reset them by following these steps:
1. Log in to smwc.ucsb.edu using your NetID and password.
2. Click the "Forgot Your Password?" link on the left-hand side of the home page.
3. Type your NetID and email address into the form provided, and click the "Reset My Password" button.
4. You will receive an email notification with a link to reset your password. Please follow the instructions in the email to reset your password.
How to report a problem with Smwc Student Portal
If you encounter a problem with Smwc Student Portal, please follow these steps to report it:
1. Log in to Smwc Student Portal and go to the "My Account" page.
2. Click on the "Report a Problem" button.
3. Enter your name, email address, and the type of problem you are experiencing (for example, login problem, course information not displaying correctly, etc.).
4. Click on the "Submit Report" button.

First, locate the professor or tutor’s profile on the Smwc Student Portal.
Next, click on their name to open their profile page.
Then, click on the “Contact this Professor/Tutor” button to open the message window.
Finally, type your message in the text box and hit “Send”.

How to add or drop a course
To add or drop a course, follow these steps:
1. Log in to the Smwc Student Portal.
2. Click on My Courses in the top navigation bar.
3. Under Course List, click on Add/Drop Course.
4. Enter the following information:
a. Title of the course
b. Course ID (a unique number assigned to each course)
5. Click on Submit Course Addition/Drop to save your changes.
