Smithfield High School Parent Portal is a website that provides parents and guardians with access to important school information, such as grades, attendance, and discipline records. If you are a Smithfield parent and have not already created an account on the school website, please follow these instructions to create an account:
1. Go to www.smithfield.k12.va.us and sign in using your school username and password.
2. Click on “Parents” in the left-hand column of the homepage.
3. In the “Parent Portal” section, click on “Create an Account” in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
4. Fill out the required information including your first and last name, email address, and password (if applicable). You will also be asked to choose a user name for your account. Note: Your user name will be used when logging in to the Parent Portal from any computer in your home network, as well as when you create or view account activity reports (AARs).
5. Click on “Submit” at the bottom of the form to create your account.

If you are a parent of a student at Smithfield High School, you can use their online parent portal to manage your student's school records and access important information about your child's education. To access the portal, click on the "Parent Portal" link on the home page of their website. You will be prompted to enter your login information. If you have not already registered for the portal, you will need to do so first. Once you have logged in, you will be able to: view your student's current registration status; view grades and exams results; pay for school supplies and tuition; and more.
How to add a new student
To add a new student, click "Students" on the left side of the website and then click "Add a New Student." You will be prompted to enter the student's first and last name, date of birth, email address, and password. You can also select which school district the student attends. Click "Submit" to add the student to your account.
How to edit an existing student record
If you have an existing student record and need to edit it, the first step is to login to the Parent Portal. When you login, you will be taken to your student's record. To edit the record, click on the name of the student and then click on Edit. You will then be taken to the Edit Student Record page. On this page, you can change the student's name, grade level, email address, password, and other information.
How to delete a student from the system
If you would like to delete a student from the system, please follow these steps:
1. Log in to the Smithfield High School Parent Portal.
2. Click on the Students link on the main menu.
3. On the Students page, click on the Student ID number of the student you would like to delete.
4. On the Delete Student page, fill out the required information and click on Request Deletion.
How to change a student’s password
If you are a Smithfield High School parent and have been assigned a student’s password, please follow these steps to change the password:
1. Log into the Parent Portal at smithfield.k12.va.us
2. Click on “Student Login” under the My Smithfield tab
3. Enter the student’s first and last name in the fields next to their picture, and click on the “Update Profile” button next to their name
4. In the “Password” field, type in the new password and click on the “Update Profile” button again
5. Click on the “Log Out” button at the bottom of the page

If you have a problem at Smithfield High School, there are several ways to report it. You can use the online Parent Portal, call the school office, or come in person to the school office.
How to get help from the Smithfield High School Parent Portal
Login to the Parent Portal by going to smithfield.k12.va.us and clicking on "Parent Portal" in the navigation bar at the top of the page.
Once you are on the Parent Portal, click on "Login" in the main menu on the left hand side of the page. Enter your username and password and click "Log In".
If you have not already registered for a Parent Portal account, you will be prompted to do so now. If you have already registered for a Parent Portal account, your login information will be displayed below your username.
After logging in, you will be taken to the "My Account" screen. On this screen, you can access all of your personal information such as your username, password, student data (name, grade level, discipline record), and e-mail addresses associated with your Parent Portal account. You can also manage your notifications and preferences for e-mail updates and messaging from Smithfield High School. You can also provide feedback about Smithfield High School using this screen.
