Sheffield University has recently released a new portal which allows students and staff to access a range of services and information. In this article, we will show you how to login to the Sheffield University Portal.
How to login to Sheffield University Portal
If you are a current student at Sheffield University, you can login to the Sheffield University Portal using your username and password. If you are a new student or have forgotten your username or password, please follow these instructions.
How to change your password
If you have forgotten your password, or if you need to change it for any reason, please follow these steps:
1. Log in to your account at the Sheffield University Portal by entering your username and password in the login box on the homepage. If you have forgotten your password, please click "Forgot Password?" on the main page and enter your email address in the "Send me a reminder about my account" field. Your new password will be sent to this email address.
2. Click "My Account" on the menu bar at the top of the page. On the My Account page, click "Change Password."
3. Enter your old password in the "Old Password" field and type in your new password in the "New Password" field. Click "Update."
4. You are now logged into your account at the Sheffield University Portal and can visit any of the pages within it!
How to use the Sheffield University Library
Login is required to access most of the Library's resources. The following instructions will show you how to login and use the Library's resources.
To login, click on the Login link on the top right hand corner of the home page and type your Sheffield username and password into the login fields. You will be redirected to the My Account page where you can manage your account details and access your Library account details.

Using the Sheffield University Campus Map
If you are new to the University, or have forgotten your login details, we have put together a guide on how to use the Sheffield University Campus Map.
To access the map, click HERE. Once on the map, you will need to select 'Sheffield University'. You will then be taken to the main menu where you can choose 'Campus Map'. Clicking on this will take you to a page which displays all of the different areas of the University.
In order to log in, click on 'Login'. You will be taken to a page where you can enter your name and password. Once you have logged in, you will be able to access all of the different areas of the University.
Using MySheffield
If you are not already registered with Sheffield University Portal, you will need to create an account first. Once you have logged in, the steps below will show you how to use the portal's login feature.
First, click on the 'Login' link in the top right-hand corner of the homepage. This will take you to a page where you can enter your Username and Password.
If you have forgotten your Username or Password, please contact their customer services team on 0114 272 8000 (Monday-Friday 9am-5pm).
Once you have logged in, you will be able to access all of the resources available on the Sheffield University Portal. To find what you are looking for, simply click on one of the links in the menu on the left-hand side of the page.

Cancelling/rescheduling an appointment
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment on the Sheffield University Portal, please follow these simple steps:
1. Log in to the Sheffield University Portal using your NetID and password.
2. Click on 'My Appointments' from the main menu.
3. Click on the appointment that you would like to cancel or reschedule.
4. On the 'Appointment Details' tab, under 'Cancelling/Rescheduling Options', click on 'Cancel Appointment' or 'Reschedule Appointment'.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your cancellation or rescheduling.
Making a complaint
If you have a problem with a service on the University Portal, the first place to go is the customer services page.
To make a complaint:
1. Log in to your account on the University Portal.
2. Click on 'Customer Services' in the left-hand menu.
3. Select your issue from the list on the right-hand side, and find the relevant contact information.
4. Fill out your complaint form as fully as possible, including as much information as you can about what went wrong and when it happened.
5. Attach any supporting documents if you have them.
6. Submit your complaint form to the relevant contact person(s).
