If you have recently moved into a new apartment and have not yet set up your resident portal account, now is the time to do so! By setting up your resident portal account, you will be able to manage your account information, receive updates and notifications about community events and much more. In this article, we will show you how to login to your resident portal and set up your account.
How to login to Resident Portal
In order to login to Resident Portal, you will need your username and password. Here is how to create both of these:
username: This is the username that you use when logging into any of their online services, such as MyUW or MyCampus (if you are a UW student). To find your username, go to your MyUW account page and under "Personal Info" on the left, click on "Username."
password: This is the password you use when logging into any of their online services. To create a password, go to your MyUW account page and under "Personal Info" on the left, click on "Password." You will need this password to login to Resident Portal.
How to pay late fees
If you're unable to login to your resident portal after due date, there are two ways to pay late fees. You can either pay through the online portal or by mail.
To pay through the online portal, log in and click on "My Account." Under "Paying Your Bill," select "Bill Payments." On the next page, under "Late Fee Payment Method," select "Online Portal Payment." Complete the form and click Submit. Your payment will be processed and a confirmation message will be sent to you.
If you need to make a payment by mail, please follow these instructions:
Step 1: Print out a copy of your confirmation message from the online portal.
Step 2: Mail your payment along with your copy of the confirmation message and your resident identification card to:

How to view your account information
If you have forgotten your password or if your account has been deactivated, you can login to your account through the resident portal. To login, follow these steps:
1. Go to the resident portal (https://portal.community.umich.edu/) and sign in.
2. Click on My Portal at the top of the page.
3. Under Account Information, click on Login.
4. Enter your username and password and click Log In.
How to change your password
If you forgot your password, or if you have changed your email address and don't remember your password, you can reset it by logging into the Resident Portal. To log in, go to the Resident Portal home page and click on "Log In." On the "Log In" screen, enter your email address and password. If you have forgotten your password, click on the link to "Forgot Your Password?" which will take you to a form where you can enter your email address and new password.
