How to login to the Research Student Portal
If you are a new student at UC Santa Cruz, you will need to create an account on the Research Student Portal in order to access student resources and services. To login, follow these steps:
1. Log in to your Google account. If you do not have a Google account, you can create one here.
2. Click the icon that looks like a lock with a key in it next to your name on the top right of any page on the Research Student Portal. This will take you to your secure online dashboard.
3. Enter your username (the first part of your email address) and password into the appropriate fields and click “Log In”. You will now be logged in to the Research Student Portal.
How to access your student account
If you are a current or former student at UC Berkeley, you can access your student account through the portal. You'll need your UC Berkeley ID number and password.
Once you have logged in, you will be able to access your MyUC Berkeley account, which includes your transcripts, grades, and other important information.

How to manage your research project
To start managing your research project, you'll need to sign in to the portal. Here's how:
1. Click the icon in the top right corner of the screen that looks like a mountain peak.
2. On the left, under "My Research," click "Login."
3. Type in your username and password and click "Log In." If you have multiple accounts, select the account you want to use from the drop-down menu next to "Login As."
4. You'll see a list of your projects, which you can navigate using the menus on the left. You can also click "New Project" to create a new project or "View All Projects" to view all of your projects at once.
5. To make a change to your project, click "Edit Project" and make your changes. To save your changes, click "Save Project."

How to submit a research question or proposal
If you are a student and have an idea for a research project, you can submit it through their research student portal. The portal allows students to easily search for research opportunities, submit their proposals, and track their progress.
To access the research student portal, go to http://research.microsoft.com and sign in with your Microsoft account. On the left-hand side of the page, click on “Research Proposals”. In the “Research Proposals” page, under “Research Projects”, select “Research Student Portal”. The “Research Student Portal” page will open.

To login to Research Student Portal, first you will need to create a user account. To do this, click on the Users link in the top menu bar and then click on New User.
