How to license your data
If you have data that you want to share publicly, but don't want to give away the rights to use, license your data. This way, you can give people access to your data while still retaining control over how it can be used. There are a few different ways to do this.
One way is to use a Creative Commons license. This allows people to use your data for free, as long as they credit you and provide a link back to your website. You can find a list of Creative Commons licenses here: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/.
Another option is to use a copyright license. This gives people the right to use your data only if they pay you for it. Copyright licenses usually have more restrictive rules than Creative Commons licenses, so you might not be able to share your data with everyone under this type of license.
