How to login to a Parent Portal
In order to login to a Parent Portal, follow these steps:
1. Open the Parent Portal home page by clicking on the Parent Portal link on the main navigation bar.
2. Click on the “Login” link in the upper right corner of the Parent Portal home page.
3. Enter your user name and password.
4. Click on the “Logout” button at the bottom of the page.
How to access your child's information
Parent Portal is a one-stop-shop for parents and guardians of K-12 students in the district. The Parent Portal provides a personalized online dashboard that allows parents to view their student's academic progress, attendance information, communication records, and more.
To access your child's information on the Parent Portal, you will need to login first. To login, follow these simple steps:
Step One: Log in to your school's Parent Portal account by entering your login credentials (user name and password) in the login screen that appears when you first visit the Parent Portal. If you have not yet registered for an account on their website, please do so now. If you have registered for an account on their website, please enter your user name and password in the login screen that appears when you first visit the Parent Portal.
Step Two: Click on "My Students" on the left-hand side of the page. You will see your child's name and profile picture next to their name. You can also see all of their current school assignments and grades.
Step Three: Click on "Account Options" in the middle of the page. This will take you to a new page where you can customize your Parent Portal
How to change your password
If you forgot your password, or if you need to change it, follow these instructions:
1. Log in to your Parent Portal account at parentportal.ed.gov.
2. Click your name in the top left corner of the screen.
3. Click “Account Settings” in the menu bar.
4. In the “Account Settings” window, click “Password” on the left side of the window.
5. Enter your current password in the “Password” field and then click “Update Password” to set a new password. Note that you will need to enter your old password in case you need to retrieve it later.
6. Click “Submit” to finish setting your password and return to the main Parent Portal page.
How to report abuse or violations
If you believe that someone is abusing or violating your rights as a parent on the Parent Portal, there are several ways you can report this. You can use the Report Abuse link on the Home Page, or you can contact them using their contact form.
