How to log into Parent Portal
Parent Portal is a web-based system that allows parents to manage their children's online activities. To login to Parent Portal, follow these steps:
1. Go to the Parent Portal home page at www.schools.nyc.gov/parents/portal/.
2. Click the "Login" button in the upper right corner of the Parent Portal home page.
3. Enter your user name and password in the appropriate fields and click "Log In." The login screen will appear.
4. If you have an e-mail address associated with your account, enter it in the "Email Address" field and click "Log In." The login screen will appear with additional information about your account.
5. If you do not have an e-mail address associated with your account, enter your street address in the "Street Address" field and click "Log In." The login screen will appear with additional information about your account.
6. Click the "Forgot Your Password?" link if you want to reset your password or use another account on this computer to log in to Parent Portal. If you do not have a password, click the "Register for a New Password" link
How to change your password
If you have forgotten your password, or if you want to change it, follow these steps:
1. Log into the Parent Portal using your username and password.
2. In the main screen, click My Account on the left sidebar.
3. On the My Account screen, click Change Password in the top right corner.
4. Enter your current password in the New Password field and then enter a new password in the New Password (again) field.
5. Click Confirm Password to finish setting your new password.
