Otago Student Portal is a website that provides students with access to a wide range of resources, including: course information, campus news, events and services. In order to login and access these resources, you will need to create an account. Here are the steps you need to follow to create an account:
First, go to otago-studentportal.ac.nz and click on the "sign in" button in the top right corner of the screen.
Enter your email address and password into the fields provided, and click on the "sign in" button.
You will now be taken to the "My Account" page. On this page, you will see your name at the top of the screen, as well as a list of your courses and other information. Below this list is a blue box which shows you how much storage space you have available on your Otago Student Portal account. To add or remove content from your account, click on the "manage my content" link located below the blue box.
To login to Otago Student Portal using your mobile phone, go to otago-studentportal.ac.nz and tap on the "Log In" link in the top left
How to login to the Otago Student Portal
If you are a student at an Otago University campus and have an Otago Net ID (ORN), you can login to the Otago Student Portal. If you don't have an ORN, you can create one on the Otago Student Portal.
To login to the Otago Student Portal, follow these steps:
1. Open the Otago Student Portal website on your computer.
2. Click the Login link in the top right corner of the page.
3. Enter your user name and password, and click Log In.
4. If you have an ORN, you will be automatically logged in. If not, click the Create An ORN link below to create an ORN account.
5. You will now be on the Your Account page. Click My Profile to see your current information and settings.
6. Under My Profile, click My Settings to change your settings or add new accounts (if you have more than one).
7. Under My Settings, click My Academics to view your courses and grades, or My Transcripts to view your academic history.
How to change your password
If you have forgotten your Otago Student Portal password, or if you need to change it, follow these steps:
1. Log in to the Otago Student Portal.
2. Click on ‘My Account’ in the top right corner of the screen.
3. In the ‘My Account’ page, click on the ‘Password’ link in the left column.
4. Enter your current password and click on the ‘Change Password’ button.
5. Enter a new, secure password and confirm it by clicking on the ‘Update Password’ button.
Accessing your MyOtago account
Once you have registered for an account with MyOtago, you can log in to your account by clicking on the link in the email we sent to you when you registered.
If you didn't receive an email, please check your spam folder.
Once you have logged in, you will be able to access all of the information and resources that are available to you through your MyOtago account.
Registering for exams
If you're new to Otago Student Portal, or just forgot your password, don't worry! Here's how to register for exams:
1. Log in to Otago Student Portal (http://portal.otago.ac.nz) and click on 'My Account' in the top right corner.
2. Click on 'Registration' in the left hand column, and then select 'Exams' from the dropdown menu on the right.
3. Fill out the required information, and click on 'Register'.
4. You will now be redirected to a page where you can confirm your registration. Once you have done this, your exams will be added to your account and you will be able to access them via your My Account page.
Searching for information on the Otago Student Portal
To access the Otago Student Portal, students need to first login. The login process is simple and can be done in a number of ways.
The most common way to login is to use your student number and password. However, if you have forgotten your password or your student number, you can also try the following methods:
-If you have a My Otago account, you can login using this information.
-If you don't have a My Otago account, you can create one by clicking on the 'sign in' button on the Otago Student Portal home page. Once you've logged in, click on the 'Forgot Password?' link on the main menu and enter your student number and email address into the corresponding fields. A link will be sent to you that you can use to reset your password.
-If all else fails, you can contact Otago Polytechnic's IT support team for help resetting your password.
Managing your course and examination details
If you are having any problems logging into the Otago Student Portal, please follow these instructions.
1. If you have an Otago ID card, log in using that. If you don't have an Otago ID card, click on 'new user' below and enter your registration number and password.
2. If you are a student who has registered for an audit course, be sure to click on 'my courses' in the menu bar at the top of the portal, select your audit course and then click on 'log in'.
3. If you are a student who has registered for a distance learning course, be sure to click on 'my courses' in the menu bar at the top of the portal, select your distance learning course and then click on 'log in'.

Revision tips for students
If you're a student in Otago, there's a good chance that you're using the Otago Student Portal (OSP). This is a really handy website that lets you access all sorts of information, including your timetables and course options.
To login to OSP, you first need to create an account. To do this, click on the link in the top right hand corner of the homepage. Once you've logged in, you'll be able to see all of your information on the left-hand side of the page.
