Login credentials:

Login using the Oracle ODP Administrator
If you are not already logged in, you can log in by following these steps:
1. In the top navigation bar, click the Administration link. The Administration home page appears.
2. In the left column, under the Oracle WebCenter Portal heading, click Login. The Login page appears.
3. In the Users text field, type your administrator username and password (the same credentials you use to log in to your Oracle WebCenter Portal instance). Click Log In.
4. If prompted, provide confirmation that you want to login as an administrator. Click Log In Again if you need to reset your password.
If you are already logged in, you can follow these steps to change your password:
The current password is displayed in the Password text field on the Login page (see Figure 1-4). To change your password, enter a new password in the Password text field and then click Change Password.
Login using an SSL connection
Login to Oracle Webcenter Portal using an SSL connection. To enable SSL for your Oracle Webcenter Portal login, first ensure that your portal is configured to use SSL. Refer to your portal documentation for more information.
Once you have verified that your portal is configured to use SSL, follow these steps to login using an SSL connection:
1) Open a web browser and visit your portal URL. For example, http://localhost:8080/.
2) In the web browser's address bar, type the following: https://[portal_name]/.
3) In the web browser's security warning prompt, click the yellow warning triangle to proceed.
4) On the Login page, enter your username and password (if you have set up authentication). If you are logging in for the first time, you will be prompted to create a new account. Click Create Account.
5) After you have logged in, you will be taken to the Home page of your portal. The URL of this page is always https://[portal_name]/.
How to create a new user
Creating a new user in Oracle Webcenter Portal is a straightforward process. Follow these steps:
1. Open the Users tab on the Admin home page and click on the Create User button.
2. On the Create User dialog box, enter the required information and click on the Next button.
3. On the Confirm New User dialog box, confirm your details and click on the Finish button.

In this blog post, we will show you how to configure the firewall for Webcenter Portal. By default, Webcenter Portal runs on port 8080 and uses the HTTP protocol.
To enable the firewall, perform the following steps:
1. Log in to your Oracle Webcenter Portal instance and open the Administration Console.
2. Click on Server Settings in the left-hand navigation pane and under Security, click on Firewall Settings.
3. In the Firewall Settings window, click on Add Rule.
4. In the Add Rule window, enter a name for the rule (for example, HTTP) and select TCP from the Protocol drop-down list. Click Next.
5. In the Port Range field, enter 8080 in both the Start and End fields and click OK. Click Apply to save your changes.

1. In the main Webcenter Portal window, click on the Settings gear icon.
