How to login to Nova Parent Portal
If you are a parent or guardian of a student in the Nova Scotia school system, you can access the Nova Parent Portal to get information about your child and manage their records. To login to the portal, follow these steps:
1. Go to www.novascotia.ca/parentportal and sign in.
2. On the left side of the page, click on My Account.
3. On the My Account page, click on Login.
4. Enter your username and password and click on Log In.
5. If you have an email address for your Nova Scotia student, in the Email Address field, type in your student's email address and click on Save. Otherwise, leave this field blank and click on Next.
6. In the Password field, type in your student's password and click on Next.
7. On the Summary page, review the information and make any changes if necessary and then click on Done.
How to manage your account
If you are a parent with an account on Nova Parent Portal, you can manage your account and settings by following these steps:
1. Start by logging in to your Nova Parent Portal account.
2. Click on the My Account link in the top right corner of the page.
3. On the My Account page, you will see all of your account information and settings. You can modify any of these settings as needed.
4. To manage your subscriptions, click on the Subscriptions link on the left side of the My Account page. This will take you to the Subscription Management page. Here, you can manage all of your subscription information, including canceling or resubmitting subscriptions.

How to add students and staff
Adding students and staff is easy with Nova Parent Portal. Just follow these steps:
1. Log in to your Nova Parent Portal account.
2. Click the "Add Students" button on the left-hand side of the screen.
3. Enter the student's name and email address into the appropriate fields.
4. Click the "Submit" button to add the student to your account.
5. Repeat these steps to add any additional staff members.
How to manage your notifications
If you're a Nova Parent Portal user and want to be notified of changes or updates to the site, follow these simple steps:
1. Log in to your account on the Nova Parent Portal website.
2. Click on the My Account tab at the top of the screen.
3. On the My Account page, click on Notification Settings.
4. Enter your email address in the Email address field and click Save Changes.

How to communicate with Nova Parents
Nova Parent Portal is a new web-based tool that allows parents to easily keep track of their students’ absences, schedule changes, and other important information. To use Nova Parent Portal, you first need to login. Here are instructions on how to do that:
First, go to the Nova Parent Portal home page.
Then, click the "Login" link in the top right corner.
Enter your username and password. If you have already registered for Nova Parent Portal, you will already have a username and password. If not, click the "Create New Account" link to create an account.
Once you have logged in, you will see a list of your students in the left column. In the right column, you will see all of their current information (such as attendance, grades, and more). You can also add new records for your students by clicking the "Add New Record" button in the top row.
How to report abuse or concerns
If you feel that you have been the victim of abuse or concerns on the Nova Parent Portal, please follow these steps to report the issue.
1) Log in to your account and click on “My Account” located in the top left corner of the homepage.
2) Under “My Profile” on the right-hand side, click on “Report Abuse/Concerns.”
3) Fill out the form as best you can and make sure to include as much detail as possible about what happened and who was involved. Please also be sure to provide a screenshot if possible.
