How to Login to the NCVA Parent Portal
The NCVA Parent Portal is a valuable resource for parents and guardians of students in public schools in North Carolina. It provides access to important school information, such as grades and assignments, as well as personalized tools and resources to support student success. To login to the portal, follow these steps:
1. Go to ncva.com and sign in.
2. Click on the "Parent Portal" link in the main navigation bar on the left side of the screen.
3. Enter your NCVA user name and password in the appropriate fields and click "Login."
4. You will be prompted to select a child's school district. If you are not already logged into your NCVA account, you will be asked to create an account before proceeding. Once you have logged in, you can select a child's school from the dropdown menu on the left side of the screen.
How to Add Your School or District
If you are a school or district administrator and you have not already added your school or district to the Ncva Parent Portal, now is the time to do so. The steps on how to add your school or district are below:
First, login to the Ncva Parent Portal. If you have not already registered for an account, click here to register.
Once logged in, click on your name in the top left corner of the screen. This will open up your profile page. On this page, you will see a section called "Add Your School or District." To add your school or district, click on the blue "Add" button and follow the instructions that appear. Please note: You must be a registered user in order to add your school or district.
How to Edit Your School Profile
If you have already created a NCVA account, login here. If you haven't created an NCVA account, create one now by clicking on the "Create an Account" link on the top right of this page. Once you have logged in, click on your name in the upper right hand corner of the main screen and then click on the "My Profile" tab.
In My Profile, you can edit information about your school, such as its name, contact information, and mission statement. You can also add pictures and videos to your profile, and invite other parents to join NCVA. Finally, you can create groups and join discussions with other NCVA members.
To add or change information about your school in My Profile:
1. Click on the "Name" tab at the top of the screen.
2. Enter the full name of your school in the "Name" field.
3. Click on the "Contact Info" tab at the top of the screen.
4. Enter your school's contact information in the fields provided.
5. Click on the "Mission Statement" tab at the top of the screen.

How to Report Incidents
If you have a question about the NCVA Parent Portal or need to report an incident, please follow these steps:
1. Log in to your NCVA Parent Portal account.
2. Click on the "Reports" tab.
3. Choose the type of incident you are reporting and click on the "Start Reporting" button.
How to View Reports from Other Schools or Districts
The NCVA Parent Portal allows you to view reports from other schools or districts in addition to your own. Once logged in, click on the "Reports" tab and select the report you would like to view. Reports can be filtered by school or district, and are updated daily.
How to Change Your Password and Security Questions
If you have forgotten your password, or if you would like to change your security questions, you can do so through the Ncva Parent Portal.:

3. On the "My Account" page, click on the "Password & Security Questions" link under "My Account Information."
4. Enter your current password in the "Password" field and select a new security question in the "Security Question" field.
