If you'd like to access the Merton Council Planning Portal, please follow these simple steps:
1. Log in using your login details that you registered with the portal when you first created an account. If you don't have those details, please contact the council's customer services team on 020 8267 3800 or email [email protected].
2. Once you're logged in, click on 'My Account' at the top of the page and then click on 'Activities' in the menu bar at the top of the page.
3. Click on 'Planning Applications' in the left-hand column and then click on 'View All Planning Applications'.
4. You will then be able to view all the planning applications that have been submitted to Merton Council since you registered with the portal, as well as any comments that have been made about them.

How to find information you need on the Merton Council Planning Portal
If you want to find out information about a planning application or see the latest planning updates, you can use the Merton Council Planning Portal.:
To login, first enter your email address and password in the login form on the homepage. Then click on ' Login '.:
Once you're logged in, you'll be able to view all of the planning applications that are currently being processed by Merton Council, as well as access information about each one. You can also find out about upcoming events and meetings, as well as find out more about the Merton Plan 2020.
How to submit a planning application
If you are planning to submit a planning application, first you need to login to the Merton Council Planning Portal. To login, follow these steps:
1. Go to www.merton.gov.uk/planning and enter your login details in the 'Login' box on the left-hand side of the screen. If you have not previously registered with Merton Council, you will be asked to do so now.
2. Click on 'My Planning Applications'. You will see a list of all your planning applications that have been submitted online or by post. The ones that are currently open for consideration are highlighted in green. Double-click on the application that you wish to work on (for example, P126/17).
3. On the Planning Application Details page, you will see a list of documents that are required for submission with your application (see below for more information about each document). Click on any of these documents to open it in a new window, or click on the 'Submit Documents' button below the document list to upload it directly to the portal.:

How to view and edit your planning application

2) Once you're logged in, click on 'Applications' at the top of the page. You'll then be able to view and edit your current application.

How to make a change to your planning application
If you have made a change to your planning application, you need to login to the portal and make the change. The steps are:
-Go to the Planning Portal home page (http://www.merton.gov.uk/planningportal)
-Click on 'Login' in the top left corner
-Enter your username and password (or sign in if you have already logged in)
-Select 'My Planning Applications' from the dropdown menu on the right
-Select the application you want to make a change to (if more than one application is selected, select the one at the top of the list)
-Click on 'Manage Changes' in the top right corner
-Select 'Update Details' from the dropdown menu
-Enter your new details and click on 'Update Details' again
-Your application will be updated and you will be returned to the main planning portal page
How to complain about a planning decision
If you think that a planning decision has gone against your wishes, there are a few things that you can do to raise an objection. The first step is to login to the Merton Council Planning Portal and find the planning decision that you want to complain about. Once you've found the decision, click on the 'complain' link next to it. This will take you to a form where you can detail your complaint. You will need to provide enough information for us to understand what went wrong and why it matters to you. Please also make sure that you have provided all of the relevant evidence, such as copies of planning applications, letters from neighbours or footage from local media coverage. If everything is in order, we will then look into your complaint and decide whether or not it needs investigating.
