How to use the Melton Planning Portal
If you're new to the Melton Planning Portal, or just need a refresher on how to use it, this guide will help you get started. First, sign in to your account. To do this, enter your login information into the "Login" box at the top of the page. Once you've logged in, click on the "Home" button in the toolbar at the top of the page to see all of the available portals. The Melton Planning Portal is located on the left side of the page.
To access it, click on the "Melton Planning Portal" link in the main navigation bar. You'll see four tabs: "Projects," "Services," "Reports," and "Community."
To start using the Melton Planning Portal, first click on the "Projects" tab. This will take you to a list of all of your current projects. Each project has its own set of information and tools, so be sure to check out all of them! Next, click on any project that you want to work with more closely. You'll see a lot of different tools and information here, so be sure to explore everything! Finally, clicking on any tool or piece of information
How to create a new plan
If you are new to the Melton Planning Portal, or if you have not logged in for a while, please follow these instructions to create a new plan.
1. Select 'Home' from the menu on the left hand side of the screen.
2. Select 'My Plans' from the list on the right hand side of the screen.
3. Click on the 'Create a New Plan' button located in the middle of the screen.
4. Enter your name and email address in the appropriate fields and click on 'Submit'.
5. You will be prompted to confirm your details. Click on 'Confirm'.
6. You will now be taken to your new plan page. Here you will find all of the information you need to start planning your journey round Melton!
How to edit an existing plan
If you want to edit an existing plan, you will need to login first. If you don't have an account yet, click here to create one. Once you have logged in, click on "My Plans" in the left-hand menu. You will see a list of your plans. Click on the plan you wish to edit. On the right-hand menu, under "Edit Options", you will see the "Edit Plan" button. Click on this button to open the plan's editing page.
To add or remove items from a plan, click on the blue plus (+) or minus (-) buttons next to each item. To change the order of items, click on the up and down arrows next to the column title. To delete an item, click on the red X next to it. When you are done editing the plan, click on the "Close Plan" button at the bottom of the page.
How to view your plan details
If you have registered with the Melton Planning Portal, then you can view your plan details by logging in. The steps to login are as follows:
1. Go to the Melton Planning Portal homepage and click on the ‘Login’ link in the top right-hand corner of the page.
2. Enter your username (typically your email address) and password into the appropriate fields and click on ‘Log In’.
3. You will be taken to a screen showing all of your registered plans. Click on any of the plans to take you to its detailed plan view.
How to report an issue with your plan
If you are having an issue with your plan, please report it using the online plan reporting tool. This will help us to fix the issue and improve your experience.
To login to the online plan reporting tool:
-Go to https://planningportal.melton.gov/report-an-issue and enter your user name and password
-Select the category of issue you are reporting from the list on the left:
-Click on "Submit". Your issue will be displayed in a pop-up window.
-Follow the instructions in the pop-up window to complete your report
How to cancel your plan
If you need to cancel your plan, please follow these steps:
Login to the Melton Planning Portal and select My Plans from the main menu. On the My Plans page, select Cancel Plan from the Actions dropdown list. This will create a cancellation request that you can submit to Melton Planning.
