What is the McGill Email Portal?
The McGill Email Portal is a new online system that allows students, staff and faculty to access their email and calendar from any device. It is available free of charge to all McGill students, staff and faculty. How do I login?
To login to the McGill Email Portal, follow these steps:
1. Go to www.mcgill.ca/emailportal on your computer.
2. Enter your McGill ID number (found on your student card) into thelogin form.
3. Enter your password into thepassword form.
4. Click Log In to finish the process.
How to Login to the Email Portal
If you are new to the McGill Email Portal, or if you have forgotten your password, you can login to the portal using the following steps:
Step 1: Go to www.mcgill.ca/email and sign in.
Step 2: Click on the Login link at the top of the page.
Step 3: Enter your username and password, and click Log In.
How to access your email account
If you have forgotten your password, or if you have not used your McGill Email Portal account in a while, you can reset it by following these steps:
1. Log into the McGill Email Portal using your username and password.
2. Click on the "My Account" tab on the top of the page.
3. Click on the "Reset Password" button in the "My Account" section.
4. Enter your new password in the "New Password" field and click on the "Reset Password" button to confirm it.
5. You will now be directed to a confirmation page where you will need to click on the "Activate My Account" link to finish resetting your password.
How to send and receive emails using the McGill Email Portal
If you are a McGill student, staff or faculty member with an email address at McGill, you can use the McGill Email Portal to send and receive emails. The McGill Email Portal provides a user-friendly interface for sending and receiving emails from anywhere in the world. You can also use the McGill Email Portal to manage your email subscriptions, manage your email folders, and track your email activity.
To send or receive an email using the McGill Email Portal, follow these steps:
1. Log in to the McGill Email Portal using your McGill username and password.
2. Click on theMail icon in the toolbar at the top of the screen.
3. In theMessage window that pops up, type an email address and click on the Send button.
4. When you have finished typing your message, click on the Send button again to send it.
5. If you have included any images or files in your email, click on the Files tab and select them from the Files Selection window that pops up. Then click on the Upload button to upload them to your message.
6. When you have finished editing your message, click on the Send button again to send it.
