If you are intending to carry out any development work on a listed building - such as extending your home or carrying out repairs - you will need to obtain listed building consent.
This guide provides details of how to login to the Listed Building Consent Portal and find out more about the process of obtaining consent.
What is Listed Building Consent?
If you are a property owner or developer and would like to carry out any alterations, extensions or new building work on your property, you will need to obtain listed building consent. You can do this by using the Consent Planning Portal which is available to view here:
https://consentplanningportal.gsi.gov.uk/
The Consent Planning Portal allows you to search for and find registered plans for properties in England and Wales, as well as view detailed information about each plan, including its registration number. If you are carrying out any alterations, extensions or new building work on a property without the relevant registered plans, you may be committing an offence and could face fines or imprisonment.
