How to login to the Law Society Portal
If you are a current or former law student, or a staff member of the Law Society, you can access their Portal by logging in with your email address and password. If you have forgotten your password, please click here to obtain assistance.
How to find your User ID and Password
To login to the Law Society Portal, you will need your User ID and Password. To find your User ID and Password, follow the steps below:
1. Log in to the Law Society Portal using your web browser. If you are not already logged in, you will be prompted to enter your user name and password.
2. On the main page of the Law Society Portal, click on "My Account." You will now be on the My Account page. Underneath "Login," click on "Forgot Password?" You will now be prompted to enter your User ID and Password.
3. If you have forgotten your User ID or Password, please email [email protected] with your full name and contact information and we will try to help you recover your account information.
How to change your User ID and Password
If you have forgotten your User ID or Password, please follow these instructions:
1. From the homepage of the Law Society Portal, click on "Log In".
2. Enter your User ID and Password in the appropriate fields, and click on "Log In".
3. Click on "My Account" in the main menu.
4. On the "My Account" page, under the heading "Personal Details", click on the link "Change Your User ID and Password".
5. Enter your new User ID and Password in the appropriate fields, and click on "Update Profile."
How to sign in if you have forgotten your User ID or Password
If you have forgotten your User ID or Password, follow these steps to sign in:
1. Go to the Law Society Portal homepage and click on "Log In".
2. Enter your User ID and Password and click "Log In".
3. If you are not already registered with the Law Society Portal, you will be prompted to create an account. Click "Register" to continue.
4. If you have forgotten your password, please click on the link that says "Forgot Your Password?" and enter your email address in the form provided. A new password will be sent to this email address.
How to reset your password if you have forgotten it
If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it using the instructions below.
If you are not registered with the Law Society Portal, or if your account has been inactive for more than six months, you will need to create a new account before you can reset your password.
To create a new account, click on the 'sign in' link on the top right hand corner of the homepage and enter your email address and password into the fields provided. If you have forgotten your password, simply enter your email address and click on the 'forgotten password' link. Your new password will be sent to this email address.
If you have registered with the Law Society Portal but have not logged in for more than six months, or if your account has been inactive for more than 30 days, you will need to contact their customer service department at 613-992-2777 to request a reset code. Once we have received this request and verified that you are registered with the Law Society Portal and that your account is inactive, we will send you a code to use to log in.
