Parent Portal is a free service from Kirklees Council that allows parents and carers to access information about their children's school, including key dates, notices and updates. In this article, we'll show you how to login to the Parent Portal and access your account.
How to Login to Your Kirklees Parent Portal
If you're an online parent with a Kirklees Parent Portal account, you can login to your account to find information and resources about your child. The login process is simple:
1. Log in to your Kirklees Parent Portal account.
2. Click the "Login" button in the top right corner of the homepage.
3. Enter your username and password.
4. You're ready to go!
Your Account
The Parent Portal is a new service that allows parents and guardians to have more control over their children’s educational experiences. To use the Parent Portal, you need to login first.
To login, you will need your child’s current school ID number and your parent/guardian email address. You can find your child’s school ID number on their report card or on the school website.
To login, follow these steps:
1. Log in to your account at www.kirklees.gov.uk/parentportal with your parent/guardian email address and child’s school ID number.
2. On the left-hand side of the screen, under ‘My Profile’, click ‘Login’.
3. Enter your parent/guardian email address and password and click ‘Log In’.
4. On the next page, under ‘Parents & Carers’, click ‘Create New Parent Account’.
My Account
To login to your account, follow these steps:
1. Log in using your email address and password.
2. If you have not already done so, click on the My Account link in the left-hand navigation bar.
3. On the My Account page, click on the Login link in the top right-hand corner.
4. Enter your email address and password into the appropriate fields and click on the Log In button.
5. You will now be taken to a page displaying all of your current children’s information. Click on the child’s name to open their account page.
Activities
If you are a new parent and have not created an account on the Kirklees Parent Portal yet, please do so now. Once you have logged in, please explore the site and find out all the great things that the portal has to offer. There are lots of activities for parents to get involved with, from finding out about local services and events through to raising awareness about healthy living. The site is constantly being updated with new information so be sure to check back often!
Academics
If you are a parent with children attending school in Kirklees, you will be able to sign into the Parent Portal using your school username and password. If you are not familiar with how to login, please see below for step-by-step instructions.
1. Log into the Parent Portal using your school username and password.
2. Click on the Academics tab on the left side of the screen.
3. Click on Login in the top right corner of the screen.
4. Enter your school username and password in the appropriate fields, and click on Login.
5. You will now be logged into the Parent Portal and ready to start working on your child’s education!
Calendar
The Kirklees Parent Portal is a great way to keep track of events and activities your child is involved in. To login, click the login link on the top right corner of the main page. You will be prompted for your user name and password. Once logged in, you will see a calendar of upcoming events. You can also search by keyword or category to find what you are looking for.
Messaging
To login to your Parent Portal, please follow these steps:
1. Go to the Parent Portal website at www.kirklees.gov.uk/parentportal and sign in using your parents’ login credentials.
2. Click on ‘My account’ in the top right hand corner of the screen.
3. If you have added a child or partner to your account, you will see their name listed next to ‘Children’ or ‘Partners’, respectively. If you do not have any children or partners registered with them, then you will see the following message: ‘No children or partners registered with Kirklees Council.’
4. Click on ‘Add a child’ or ‘Add a partner’, as appropriate, and complete the relevant fields.
5. Enter your child’s contact details (name and address), and click on ‘Submit’.
6. If you have added a partner to your account, you will need to enter their contact details (name and address), and click on ‘Submit’.
7. You will now be prompted to set
Settings
To login to your Parent Portal, please follow these steps:
1. Go to the website kirklees.gov.uk and sign in.
2. Click on My Account on the left-hand menu.
3. Enter your login details and click on Log In.
4. Click on the Parent Portal link in the top right-hand corner of the page.
5. Enter your username and password and click on Log In.

How to change your password
