Instructor Portal is a new online learning platform for instructors and students. The platform provides a centralized place for instructors to manage their course materials, student records, and other course-related information. If you are an instructor using Instructor Portal, this article will teach you how to log in and create a new account.
Login Instructions
If you are a new or returning instructor, please follow the instructions below to login to your Instructor Portal account. If you have already logged in, please click on the "Forgot Your Password?" link in the My Account section of the Instructor Portal.
Instructor Portal Login Instructions:
1. Click on the "Forgot Your Password?" link located in the My Account section of your Instructor Portal account. This will take you to a page where you can enter your user name and password. If you have not yet registered for an account, please click on the "Register Now" button and follow the prompts to complete the registration process.
2. If you have registered for an account, please enter your user name and password in the appropriate fields located on the "Forgot Your Password?" page and click on the "Submit" button. You will now be directed to the login screen where you will be able to log in using your user name and password.
3. If you have forgotten your user name or password, please email [email protected] with your full name, date of birth, username, and last 4 digits of your social security number (SSN).

If you are an instructor and need to login to the Instructor Portal, follow these steps:
1. Click on the "Log In" link in the top right corner of the website.
2. Enter your email address and password in the appropriate fields, and click on the "Log In" button.
3. You will be taken to the "Instructor Dashboard."
4. On this page, you can view all of your courses, as well as leave messages for students and track your course progress.

Instructor Portal - How to Login
If you are an instructor and want to access the Instructor Portal, you will need to login first. Here are instructions on how to do this:
1. Go to the Instructor Portal home page (https://portal.ncsu.edu/instructors/) and click on "Login."
2. In the "Login Information" box, enter your NC State e-mail address and password.
3. Click on "Log In."
4. If you are an instructor with multiple roles (e.g., full-time and adjunct), be sure to select the role you would like to log in as in the "Log In As:" box. If you are an instructor with no roles, simply click on "Log In."
5. If you are an instructor with multiple courses, be sure to select the course you would like to log in as in the "Course Selector" box. Click on "Submit."
6. You will now be presented with a list of courses that you have been assigned to teach and their associated login information. Simply enter your NC State e-mail address and password
Student Records
If you are a new student, or have forgotten your username or password, follow these instructions to login to the Instructor Portal.
If you are an existing student, please enter your username and password in the login form below. If you have not registered for online classes, you must first register online before logging in.
How to File a Complaint

If you experience an issue with a course instructor, you can file a complaint by logging in to your Instructor Portal and clicking on the "File a Complaint" link. If you do not have access to your Instructor Portal, or if you have questions about filing a complaint, please contact their customer service team at 866-435-9227.
How to Request a Transcript
Instructor Portal provides access to a transcript of recent classes taken by the instructor. To request a transcript, follow these steps:
1. Log in to the Instructor Portal.
2. Click on “My Account” in the top left corner of the screen.
3. Under “Profile,” click on “Transcripts & Certifications.”
4. On the “Transcripts & Certifications” screen, click on the “Request Transcript” tab.
5. In the “Request Transcript” form, provide your name and email address.
6. Click on the “Submit Request” button to submit your request.

Instructor Portal: How to Login
If you have forgotten your login information, please follow these steps to reset your login:
1. Click on the "My Account" button in the top right corner of the website.
2. On the My Account page, click on the link that says "Forgot Your Password?" under "My Profile."
