How to use the Inspection Portal
The Inspection Portal can be used to view and submit inspection requests for facilities. To access the portal, go to inspectionportal.hhs.gov and enter your user name and password. The portal has several sections that are described below.
Section I - Facility Overview: This section provides a list of all facilities in the HHS system and information about each facility, such as its ID number, type of facility, and inspection history. You can also use this section to view inspections that have been conducted at the facility.
Section II - Inspection Requests: This section lets you request inspections of specific facilities or types of facilities. You can also use this section to submit pre-inspection requests for facilities that you plan to inspect yourself.
Section III - Results: This section displays the results of inspections that have been conducted at the facility and any pre-inspection requests that have been submitted by users. You can also use this section to submit comments about an inspection or request for an inspection.
Section IV - Reports: This section provides reports about the inspection process, including reports about inspections that have been conducted at the facility.
How to submit a Request for Inspection
Inspection requests can be submitted directly to their portal by clicking the "Request for Inspection" link on the home page of their website. To login to their portal, please enter your email address and password in the appropriate fields below. If you have forgotten your password, please click the "Forgot Your Password?" link below and we will send you a link to reset your password.
Once logged in, please follow the instructions below to submit a request for inspection. You can also view their current inspection requests on their website by clicking on the "Inspection Requests" link on the right-hand side of the home page.
Note: All inspection requests must include a detailed description of what needs to be inspected, along with specific information about where and when it needs to be inspected. Please also note that all inspections must be completed within 30 days of being submitted, unless otherwise specified in their inspection request policy. How to view a Request for Inspection
To view a Request for Inspection, you will need to login. By default, all users have access to the Inspection Portal. To login, follow these steps:
1. On the main Inspection Portal screen, click the Login link in the top left corner. The Login screen will appear.
2. Type your email address and password into the fields on the login screen. Note: You will be prompted to create a new password if you do not already have one.
3. Click Log In to log in and begin viewing requests.

How to close an Inspection
If you need to close an inspection, follow these steps:
1. Log in to your account on the Inspection Portal.
2. Click the “Inspection” tab on the left side of the screen.
3. Click the “Closed Inspection” link in the overview section of the portal.
4. Follow the instructions on the screen to finalize your closure.
