How to Login to the Hixson Middle School Student Portal
The Hixson Middle School Student Portal is a website that gives students access to their grades, records, and other important information. To login, follow these steps:
1. Go to the student portal website at https://portal.hixsonms.org/.
2. Enter your e-mail address and password in the appropriate fields.
3. Click the “Log In” button.
4. Your user name will appear under “Users Logged In” on the left side of the page. Underneath your user name, you will see your current grade level and the courses you are currently enrolled in. You will also see a menu on the right side of the page that gives you access to all of your information.
How to Access your Student Files
If you are a Hixson Middle School student, you can access your student files by logging in to the portal. To login, follow these steps:
1. Go to http://hmsportal.com and sign in with your school username and password. You will be automatically logged in.
2. In the left-hand navigation menu, select "Student Portal."
3. On the Student Portal page, select "Login."
4. Enter your school username and password in the appropriate fields, and click "Log In."
5. On the Login Page, select "My Profile" from the drop-down menu.
6. On the My Profile page, under "My Files," select your desired file type (gradebook, report card, etc.) to view your files.
How to Troubleshoot Common Issues with the Portal
1. If you are having trouble logging in to the portal, first make sure you have your login information correct.
2. If you are still having trouble logging in, there may be an issue with your computer or network connection. Check to see if there is a firewall or security software blocked your port number and try using a different browser or device to log in.

How to Use the School Parent Portal
The School Parent Portal is a web-based system that parents and guardians of students at Hixson Middle School can use to manage their student's account information, including contact information, grades, and other important data. To access the portal, parents or guardians must first create an account. To create an account, parents or guardians will need the following information:
-Parent/Guardian name
-Password
-Student's name
-School division (elementary, middle, or high school)
