How to login to the Graduate Center Portal
The Graduate Center Portal is a computer-based system that provides access to information and resources related to graduate students, faculty, and staff. To login to the Graduate Center Portal, follow these steps:
1. Click on the name of the institution you are affiliated with in the left-hand column of the homepage.
2. In the drop-down menu that appears, select Graduate Center Portal.
3. Enter your user name and password in the appropriate fields. Note: Your user name is typically your last name followed by "GC" (for example, Smith GC). Your password is typically your first and last names together (for example, JohnSmith). You may also be asked to supply your e-mail address if you have registered for an account on the portal.
4. Click Log In.
5. If you are not already logged in, you will be prompted to log in now. Enter your user name and password again and click Log In.
How to use the Graduate Center Portal
If you are a graduate student, faculty member, or staff member at the Graduate Center, you can use their online portal to manage your account and access your records. To access the portal, go to http://graduatecenter.columbia.edu/. Log in with your Columbia email address and password. You will be asked to create a new password if you do not have one. Once you have logged in, you will see the main menu on the left side of the page. Click on "My Account" to view your account information and history, including your login name and password. You can also change your password here. You can also access your My Account information by clicking on the "Account" link in the header at the top of any page on the portal.
How to find information on the Graduate Center website
Graduate students have access to a wealth of information on the Graduate Center website, which can be found by clicking on "Academics" in the menu bar at the top of the page.
Undergraduate students can find information about graduate programs and opportunities, as well as contact information for departments and services on the Undergraduate Academic Affairs website.
When searching for information on the Graduate Center website, be sure to use the "Advanced Search" feature to find specific content items or keywords. For example, if you are looking for information about a specific program, you can enter that program's name in the "Program Name" field and click "Search."
