1. Log into the Parent Portal at www.gi.edu/parentportal.
2. Click on My Students at the top of the screen.
3. Click on Add Child in the right-hand column.
4. Enter your child’s name and email address in the appropriate fields, and click Submit.
5. Congratulations! You have successfully added your child to your account and can now access all of their information on the Parent Portal.
How to change your child’s name
In order to change your child’s name on the GiParent Portal, you will first need to login to the portal (if you are not already logged in). After logging in, you will be presented with the “Your Account” page. On this page, you will find a link titled “Edit Child’s Name.” Clicking on this link will take you to the “Edit Child’s Name” page.
To change your child’s name, first click on the “Name” column heading and enter the new name into the text box located below it. Next, click on the “Update” button to save your changes. Note that if your child has already been registered with GiParent Portal, their existing name will still be displayed in the “Name” column and they will not be able to change it. 2. Click on the "Help" tab in the upper-right corner of the page.
3. Under "Reporting Issues," click on "Report Abuse."
4. In the "Report Abuse" form, please provide as much information as possible about what happened, including: the name of the person who abused you, when and where the abuse took place, and a description of the abusive behavior. Please also include a screenshot if possible.
5. If you are reporting an incident that occurred outside of Gi, please explain how you discovered the abuse and provide any other relevant information.
