How to login to Gables Resident Portal
If you have forgotten your password, or need to reset it, please follow these instructions.
1. Log in to your account by clicking on the Login link on the top right of the home page. If you do not have an account, you can create one now by clicking on the sign-up link in the lower right corner.
2. If you are having trouble logging in, please check that you are using the correct URL (e.g., http://www.gablesresidence.com instead of http://www.example.com) and refreshing your browser's cache and cookies. If you are still having difficulty logging in, please email us at [email protected] and we will help you out as soon as possible!
How to use the Gables Resident Portal
If you are a Gables resident and have not already registered for the resident portal, now is a great time to do so. The resident portal provides residents with easy access to important information, including their account history, calendar, bills and more.
To register for the resident portal, follow these steps:
1. Log in to gables.ucsb.edu using your NetID and password. If you have forgotten your NetID or password, please visit their Help Desk or contact the Housing Office.
2. On the left-hand side of the screen, click on Accounts and then on Resident Portal.
3. In the Welcome section of the page, select Register Now to start the registration process.
4. Enter your name (first or last), email address, telephone number and selecting whether you are a new or returning resident. You will then be asked to provide some basic information about yourself such as your gender and residency status (new or returning). After you have completed this information, click on Next Step to continue with the registration process.
5. In the Billing Information section of the page, you will need to provide your UC San Diego student ID number and bank account information
How to find your account number
If you forgot your account number or if you have moved and changed your email address, you can find your account number on the Gables Resident Portal. To find your account number, log in to the Gables Resident Portal and follow these steps:
1. On the main menu, click "My Account."
2. In the "My Account" section, under "Your Profile," click "Account Numbers."
3. Under "Account Numbers," you will see your account number listed next to your name.
How to change your password
If you have forgotten your password, or if you have changed your email address and would like to change your password, please follow these instructions:
1. Log in to the gables Resident Portal by clicking on the "Login" button in the top right corner of the home page.
2. In the "My Account" area, click on "Change Password."
3. Enter your current password in the "Old Password" field and enter a new, secure password in the "New Password" field.
4. Click on the "Update Password" button to save your new password.
How to report a problem with the Gables Resident Portal
If you are having trouble logging in to the Gables Resident Portal, please follow these instructions:
1. First, make sure that you have the most recent version of the Gables Resident Portal software installed on your computer. You can download the software from their website or from their software installation package that is included with your monthly billing statement.
2. If you are using Internet Explorer, try running the installer in compatibility mode. For instructions, go to http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/how-to-run-an-internet-explorer-installer-in-compatibility-mode and search for "Internet Explorer Compatibility View Settings."
3. If you are using Firefox, Chrome, or Safari, try clearing your browser's cache and cookies (under "Tools" > "Browser Options"). Then log in to the Gables Resident Portal by entering your user name and password.

How to get help using the Gables Resident Portal
To get help using the Gables Resident Portal, first login by clicking on the login link in the top right corner of the home page. You will be prompted to enter your user name and password. If you have not registered for the Gables Resident Portal, you will be prompted to do so. Once you have logged in, you can find various help resources under the Help tab.
