How to Register for a Parent Portal
The Fort Dorchester High School Parent Portal is an online resource for parents and guardians. The portal allows parents to register for classes, view grades for their children, sign up for newsletters and more. To register for the Parent Portal, visit their website at https://www.fortdorchester.k12.sc.us/parentportal/.
How to Login to the Portal
On your computer, open the web browser and type in the following address:
http://www.fortdorchester.k12.ma.us/portal/login
If you are logging in for the first time, click on the "Create an Account" link at the top of the page to create a new account. If you have an existing Fort Dorchester e-mail address and password, enter them into the appropriate fields and click on the "Log In" button. If you do not have an existing Fort Dorchester e-mail address or password, click on the "Register for an Account" link to create a new account. You will be prompted to provide your name and e-mail address, as well as to select a password. After you have completed these steps, click on the "Log In" button at the top of the page.

How to Update Your Profile
If you are a new parent or have forgotten your login information, please go to the Fort Dorchester High School Parent Portal and follow these easy steps:
1. Click on the “Log In” button in the top left corner of the homepage.
2. Enter your email address and password.
3. If you have not registered with the Parent Portal, you will be prompted to do so now.
4. You will now be able to view all of your student’s information and make updates to your profile.
How to Block and Unblock Users
If you need to block someone from accessing your Parent Portal, follow these steps:
1. Navigate to the Parent Portal home page and click on the BLOCK button located in the top-right corner.
2. In the Block User dialog box, enter the user's username or email address and select the block option.
3. Click on the SAVE button to confirm your block and return to the Parent Portal home page.
If you need to unblock someone from accessing your Parent Portal, follow these steps:
1. Navigate to the Parent Portal home page and click on the UNBLOCK button located in the top-right corner.
2. In the Unblock User dialog box, enter the user's username or email address and select the unblock option.
Please note that blocked users will not be able to access any content on your Parent Portal, including their own posts and profiles.
How to Report a Violation
If you have a problem with a student at Fort Dorchester High School, you can take steps to address the situation. First, make sure you have the student’s name and ID number. You can find this information on their school ID card or in their student record. Next, go to the Fort Dorchester High School Parent Portal website and sign in. Click on “Report a Violation” under the “My Child” tab. In the “Report a Violation” form, you will need to provide your name and contact information as well as the student’s name and ID number. Once you have all of this information, click “Submit Report.” The Parent Portal will send an email to the offending student and their parent or guardian with a description of the violation and instructions on how to resolve it.
