If you're unfamiliar with Filemaker Portal, it's a powerful database program that can be used for a lot of different purposes - from creating custom business reports to tracking inventory. If you're new to Filemaker Portal, login may seem daunting at first. Here are a few tips to get you started:
1. Log in using your Filemaker ID. This is the unique username and password you used when you created your account. If you don't know your Filemaker ID, click the "Forgot Your Password?" link on the login screen and follow the instructions.
2. Enter your hostname (the name of your computer). This is usually just your computer's IP address (e.g., 192.168.1.101).
3. Enter your user name and password (again, use your Filemaker ID and hostname).
4. Click the "Log In" button at the top of the page.

Filemaker Portal How to Upgrade Your Account
It can be tempting to just keep using your old Filemaker Portal account when you want to upgrade to a premium account. But before you do, make sure to log in with your old account first! There are a few things you need to do before upgrading:
1. Log In With Your Old Account
The first step is to log in with your old account. This will automatically upgrade your account to the premium level. If you're not already logged in, click the login button at the bottom of the screen and enter your username and password.
2. Change Your Password
Next, change your password. This is important because it will protect your data if someone else logs in to your account. To change your password, click the security tab and enter your new password into the "Newpassword" field. Click "Save Changes."
3. Delete Your Old Account
Finally, if you no longer need or want your old Filemaker Portal account, delete it by clicking the "Delete My Account" button on the security tab. You will be prompted to confirm this action before it's completed.

If you are no longer using Filemaker Portal, deleting your account will free up space on your Filemaker Server and make it easier to find and use the resources available on Filemaker Portal.
To delete an account on Filemaker Portal:
1. Log in to Filemaker Portal
2. Click the Account icon in the top left corner of the screen
3. Click Delete Account in the pop-up window that appears (Figure A)
4. Type your user name and password in the appropriate fields (Figure B) and click OK
