How to login to the Barrington Parent Portal
To login to the Barrington Parent Portal, click on the "Parent Portal" link in the home page of the school website. This will take you to a page that looks like this:
Once you have landed on this page, you will need to enter your username and password. Your username is the same as your email address, and your password is the same as your student ID number. You will also need to select which account you want to use to access the Parent Portal. If you are a parent of more than one child in Barrington School District, you will need to select which account you want to use. If you are not a parent of a Barrington student, you can still access the Parent Portal by registering for an account. To register for an account, click on the "register now" link below the "Sign In" button.
How to manage your account
If you are a parent or guardian of a student at Barrington, you can manage your account and connect with your student through their Parent Portal. To access the Parent Portal, first go to www.barrington.k12.il.us and sign in. You will then be able to access your account information and connect with your student. You can also send and receive messages from your student through the Parent Portal.
How to unsubscribe from email notifications
If you no longer want to receive email notifications from Barrington, you can unsubscribe from them by following these steps:
1. Go to the parent portal home page and click on the "Notifications" link in the left-hand column.
2. On the "Notifications" page, under "Email Notifications," select the check box next to the notification you would like to unsubscribe from.
3. Click on the "Unsubscribe" button below the list of notifications you have selected.
How to change your password
To change your password on the Barrington Parent Portal, follow these steps:
1. Click “Profile” on the main menu of the Barrington Parent Portal.
2. In the “Account Details” section, click “Change Password.”
3. Enter your current password in the “New Password” field and confirm it in the “Confirm New Password” field.
4. In the “Security Question” field, answer the question “What is two plus two?” (If you do not want to answer this question, select “No Security Question” from the drop-down menu.)
5. In the “Secret Question” field, answer the question “What are three words that end with a vowel?” (If you do not want to answer this question, select “No Secret Question” from the drop-down menu.)
6. Click “Submit Changes.”

How to report a problem with the Parent Portal
If you have a problem with the Parent Portal, there are several ways to report it. You can email [email protected], call 847-531-3262, or walk into the staffed office at Barrington High School.
If you have a problem with your account information, you can reset your password by logging in to your account and clicking on “Reset Password” under “My Account” on the left side of the Parent Portal home screen. You will need your username and password to reset your password. If you do not remember either of these items, please contact them at [email protected].
