How to create an Atlanta I.D.
Creating an Atlanta I.D. is easy! Just follow these steps:
-Go to the "My Account" section of the portal and click on "Create an Atlanta I.D."
-Enter your first and last name, email address, and select a password. You will also be asked to create a password reminder.
-If you have already created an Atlanta I.D., login using that information. If not, enter your birth date, select your gender, and complete the other required fields.
-Click on "Create My Account" to finish setting up your account.
How to register for classes and activities
To register for classes and activities with Atlanta ISD, parents must first login to the Parent Portal. The Parent Portal is located at www.atlantaisd.org and can be accessed by clicking on the "Parent Login" button on the top right-hand corner of the home page. Logging in will allow parents to register for classes and activities, view their child's current schedule, view account information, and make payments. Parents can also receive notifications about important district news and events.

Homeschooling parents in Atlanta can use the Atlanta ISD Parent Portal to manage their homeschooling. The portal is a one-stop shop for parents, with tools including online registration, online account management, and a parent forum.
The Parent Portal is accessible through the district's website (AtlantaISD.net) or by using the district's app. Registration is free and takes just minutes.
To register for a new account, click on "Home Schooling" in the top navigation bar, then "Parent Portal Login." To login to an existing account, click on "Parent Portal Login" in the left navigation bar, then "Create New Account."
Once logged in, parents will see the following main menu:
- Online Registration: This tab allows parents to sign up for online classes and other activities available through the Parent Portal.
- Online Account Management: This tab helps parents keep track of their student progress and logs them into online resources.
- Parent Forum: This tab provides a space for parents to ask questions and share ideas about homeschooling with other parents in Atlanta ISD.

Parent Portal Instructions:
1. Log in to the Parent Portal using your Georgia Virtual School login credentials. If you do not have a Georgia Virtual School login, please create an account and enter your student's name and ID number in the appropriate fields on the home page of the Parent Portal.
2. On the main Parent Portal page, select "My Students" from the drop-down menu on the top left corner of the page.
3. On the My Students page, select your student from the list on the left side of the page.
4. On the Student Detail page for your student, you will see a field called "Login ID." Enter your student's Login ID in this field and click on "Update."
5. On the My Students page, you will now see a "Parent Login" link next to your student's name. Click on this link to log in as a parent. You will be prompted to enter your Parent Portal username and password. Once you have logged in, you will be able to view all of your student's information, including his or her academic information, attendance records, and disciplinary records.
