How to Log In
If you are a parent of an Ahs student and have not already registered for the Parent Portal, now is the time to do so. The Parent Portal is a great way for parents to get connected with their students and to track their academic progress. Here are instructions on how to log in to the Parent Portal:
1. Go to: www.ahs.net/parentportal
2. Enter your Ahs email address in the login form and click “Login”
3. You will be taken to a page where you can enter your password. If you have forgotten your password, click “Forgot Password?” and follow the instructions there.
4. Once you have logged in, you will be taken to a page that lists all of your children’s Ahs accounts, including their current grades, credits earned, and progress reports. You can also view their schedules, chat with them online, and more!
How to Change Your Password
If you haven't done so already, create an account on the Ahs Parent Portal. To login, click "Login" in the upper right corner of the homepage screen. Enter your username and password, and click "Log In." You will now be on the "My Account" page. How to Reset Your Password
If you've forgotten your password, there are a few things you can do to reset it. First, try using the email address that you used to create your account. If that doesn't work, you can also try resetting your password by clicking on the "Forgot Your Password?" link on the login page.
What Are My Parent Portal Rights?
If you are a parent of a child who is enrolled in the Ahs Parent Portal, you have some rights and responsibilities. Here's a quick overview of what's available through the portal and how to access it.
Your Parent Portal account gives you access to your child's grades, attendance, contact information, and other important data. You can also reset your password or create a new one if you've forgotten it. You can also block other parents from accessing your child's data if you want privacy for your family.
To login to your Parent Portal account, follow these steps:
1) Go to www.ahs.edu and sign in using your Ahs user name and password.
2) Click on Academics on the left side of the screen.
3) Under Academics in the main menu, click on Parent Portal.
4) Enter your Ahs user name and password (if you have them), and click Login.
5) If prompted, provide authorization for the Ahs parent portal to access your student's grades, attendance, contact information, etc. (usually just click OK).

How do I Report a Violation of My Parent Portal Rights?
If you have a concern about a violation of your Parent Portal rights, there are several ways to report it. You can contact the school or district directly, or you can file a complaint with the Department of Education.
To contact the school or district directly, you can call the main office number for that school or district, or you can go online and look up the phone number for that school. If you are reporting a violation that happened at home, you can use the Parent Portal to file your complaint.
To file a complaint with the Department of Education, visit their website and find the form that corresponds to your situation. Once you have completed the form and submitted it, someone from the Department of Education will contact you to discuss your complaint.
What If I Lose My Parent Portal Account or My Password?
If you lose your parent portal account or your password, follow these steps to create a new account:
1. Log in to your MySFUSD account at www.sfusd.org and go to the Parent Portal home page.
2. Click the “Forgot Password?” link on the upper right hand corner of the home page.
3. Enter your email address and click the “Request New Password” button.
4. You will receive an email with instructions on how to create a new password.
5. If you have forgotten your parent portal login name, enter your email address and click the “Reset Password” button. You will be sent instructions on how to create a new login name.
