Fortunately, there are now a number of online tools that make managing your ag course materials much easier. How to Login to the Portal
The Ag Course Management Portal (acmp.usda.gov) is a web-based system that provides information about ag courses and degree programs offered at U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) accredited institutions. To login to the portal, click the Login link in the top right corner of the home page. Enter your username and password, and then click Submit. You will be taken to the My Account page, where you can view your account information, track your course progress, and access your My Courses and Academic Records sections.
How to Use the Portal
The AG Course Management Portal is a web-based tool that can be used to manage courses and resources. The login process is simple and can be completed by following these steps:
1. Enter your AGID (ANSI/ASCA identifier) into the login form on the home page of the portal.
2. Click on the Login link in the upper right corner of the screen.
3. Enter your user name and password. You will be prompted to save your login information in case you need to return to it later.
4. Once you have logged in, you will see a list of all of your courses and resources. You can view or edit any of them by clicking on their titles.
How to Edit your Courses
If you are an ag instructor and have created your courses on the Ag Course Management Portal, you will need to login to your account and edit your courses. Follow these steps:
1. Log into your Ag Course Management Portal account.
2. Click on My Courses at the top of the page.
3. Click on the course you wish to edit.
4. On the course details page, click on the Edit button next to the Title field.
5. On the Edit Course Details page, you will need to provide a Title for your course, a Brief Description of the course, and decide whether or not you want students to be able to enroll in this course online or in person. Note: If you choose in-person enrollment, you will also need to provide information about where and when you will offer this course. You can also select if this is a self-paced or blocked course (meaning that students cannot enroll until they have completed all of the required materials). Finally, you can determine how many students are allowed to enroll in this course at one time (max enrollment is 10 students). Click on Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
How to Delete a Course
If you no longer need a course, you can delete it from the course management portal. To delete a course:
1. Log in to the course management portal.
2. Click the Courses tab on the left side of the screen.
3. In the Courses list, click the course that you want to delete.
4. On the Course Management page, click Delete this Course at the bottom of the page.
How to Print Your Courses
If you have printed your courses, you may want to login and print them from the Ag Course Management Portal. To login, go to https://portal.agcourses.illinois.edu/. On the left side of the screen, click on "Log In." Type your user name and password in the boxes that appear and click on "Log In." On the right side of the screen, under "My Courses," click on "Print My Courses." You will be taken to a page where you can select which courses you want to print. Click on the blue "Print" button next to each course and you will be taken to a page where you can choose which printer to use.
How to Track Your Progress
If you have ever been curious about what crops you have planted, how much water they are using or when your last fertilizer application was, then you will appreciate the Ag Course Management Portal. This free online tool is a great way to track your progress in ag courses and learn more about crop management. To get started, login to the portal and click on the My Courses tab. You will see a list of all of your current ag courses.
To begin tracking your progress, simply click on a course name and you will be taken to the course overview page. This page includes information on the course content, prerequisites, estimated time requirements and more.
You can also view course grades and check out the syllabus for the course. Microsoft Word documents are automatically included in some courses, so you can easily create reports or presentations using this software.
Once you have completed a course, click on the Finish button to submit your final grades. You will then be taken to the Congratulations! page where you can view your degree progress and find other resources available to you as an agricultural student.
