The University of Manitoba's new online residence portal is now available to students and staff. The portal provides a one-stop shop for information on student residences, including room and board prices, contact information for residence life staff, and photos of each residence. If you're having trouble logging in to the portal, here's a guide on how to do it.

In this article, we will show you how to login to the University of Manitoba residence portal.
If you are a new student or have not used the residence portal in the past, please follow these instructions.
First, go to http://www.umanitoba.ca/residence/ and log in with your UManitobausername and password. If you have forgotten your password, click the "Forgot Your Password" link on the right hand side of the page. You will then be prompted to enter your email address and choose a new password. Once you have logged in, you will be taken to the main residence portal page.
On this page, you can search for your residence hall, view your account information, make changes to your account information, and more! You can also register for access to all of the residence hall facilities using MyResidence Halls. To register for MyResidence Halls, click on "My Residence Halls" on the left hand side of the page and follow the instructions.

How to login

How to use the Residence Portal
The University of Manitoba's Residence Portal enables students, staff and faculty to access their residence information, including their room location and roommate assignments. To login to the portal, visit http://residence.umanitoba.ca and enter your U of M email address and password.
Once you have logged in, you will be able to view your account information, including your room location and roommate assignment. You can also view important messages about residence life, view your change of address history and update your contact information. You can also manage your residence account online by signing in to MyUofM Account (https://www.myuofm.ca).

How do I create a profile?
Login to your portal account by clicking on the "Login" link in the top right corner of the homepage and entering your username and password. If you do not have an account, create one now. Once you are logged in, click on the "My Profile" link in the top left corner of the homepage. This will take you to a page where you can update your contact information, add courses, and manage your residence halls.
Once you have completed your profile, click on the "Community" tab and find the "Residence Portal Newsletters" group. You will see an email sent out every Friday that lists all of the upcoming events for Residence Life on campus. Click on the "subscribe" button to automatically receive these emails.

How can I find out more about my residence status and room options?
Login to the University of Manitoba's residence portal to find out more about your current residence status and room options. You'll need your student ID number and password to log in.
Once you're logged in, you'll be able to:
- View your current residence status, including room type and availability
- Apply for a new room or change your existing room
- View your account balance and recent activity

My accommodation has been cancelled and now I need to move out - what should I do?
If you have been informed by your residence that your accommodation is cancelled, and you need to move out as soon as possible, please follow these steps:
1. Log in to the University of Manitoba Residence Portal (UMRP). If you don't have an account, create one now.
2. Click on "Rooms and Suites" on the left side of the page. On the right side of the page, under "My Accommodation", click on "Move Out".
3. Follow the prompts to complete the move out process.
I have moved out of my residence
If you have moved out of your residence, you can login to the portal to view your account information and possessions. Logging in is easy β all you need is your U of M student number and password. You can also manage your account online.
To login, go to www.umanitoba.ca/residenceportal and enter your U of M student number and password. If you have forgotten your password, click βForgot Passwordβ on the upper right hand side of the page, and enter your email address so we can send you a new password. Once you have logged in, you will be able to view your account information, including your room number, rent amount and other important details. You can also find out what belongings are still in your possession, make changes to your account or report any problems with your residence hall or room.
